Sámara
Sámara is 4.2 km bay which comprehends several beaches divided by estuaries and rock formations. Our efforts started in year 2023, when we partnered with the local Blue Flag Program and organized two different tree plantings, the first in Matapalo beach, located in the middle of the bay, and the second one in Sámara’s main beach, next to Lagarto Estuary.
Since then, we have planted 2,281 trees from 18 native coastal species, involving 299 volunteers and 4 local schools.
