Marbella

The beaches of the Marbella área are cherished places for its local community, and are facing pressure from fast pace development, while its popular surf break is quickly turning into a surf tourism destination. Most of its beaches have suffered great devastation of its beachfront forest, and are now facing bigger risks as climate change related events become more unpredictable, intense, and destructive.

In 2023, we had our first tree planting event in Frijolar Beach with the local community, and since then we have extend reforestation efforts to Cocos Beach (2024), Cementerio, Cóncavas and Pitahaya beaches (2026), planting over 3,700 trees in total and bringing over 150 volunteers and the Marbella local primary school.
